「立委選舉鐵定多掉10席，國會最大黨地位也將不保！」一名資深國民黨立委昨天信誓旦旦表示，倘若黨主席朱立倫確定不選2016，一些理念型傳統支持者缺乏投票動力，勢必會衝擊立委選情，中北部藍委更是剉著等，要求朱絕不能在2016這一仗做壁上觀，「輸掉2016大選，也不用想2020了。」
2016總統大選逐漸白熱化，國民黨中常會本周三(8日)也將通過黨內提名辦法，預定4月中旬開放領表、連署。
立法院副院長洪秀柱已正式表態投入黨內總統初選辦法，立法院長王金平在訪問日本行程結束後、最快下周就會宣布下一步動向。
王金平在兩周前主動致電黨中央詢問有關總統初選公布時程，此一動作更讓外界嗅到不尋常氣氛，研判王會投入這場選戰。
至於兼任黨主席的朱立倫至今仍按兵不動，但與朱有所互動的藍委則說「沒有感覺他會缺席這一局」。不少藍委力勸朱立倫應挑戰2016，即使輸掉總統選戰，也要保住立委多數席次，建議朱應投入黨內初選，「扛起黨主席應有的責任」。
由於大環境對國民黨很不利，黨內評估立委席次會下修，以目前64席立委來看，若要在新一屆維持過半，絕不能丟掉超過7席，這也等於是維持國會最大黨的魔術數字。
黨內人士評估，彰化以南幾乎都算艱困選區，其餘包括中市、雙北選區也很難保住現有席次，要維持國會過半要很拚，當然需要有總統參選人來發揮母雞帶小雞的效果。
對於誰會投入初選領表，李四川說，但站在黨祕書長的立場，他都歡迎；這次總統提名辦法相較以往並沒有改變，時程上是8日送中常會通過，隔一周公告，之後就是領表跟黨員連署；過去有人反映連署時間20天太短，這次會增加幾天連署時間。
他說，正式登記前的時間內都可以進行黨內協調；如果5月中旬連署結束後，有兩組通過連署門檻，當然就進入黨內初選機制。
